Brief background to the league

The South Down Football League (SDFL) was formed in September 2006.  The aims of the league are as follows:

1. The mental, moral and physical development and improvement of  school pupils through football.
2. To promote and encourage the development of football at various age groups.

Currently 9 schools are affiliated to the league.  The league promotes competitions for schools at under 13 and under 15 levels.
